Project Overview

ArtCab is a breakthrough web application in the ecosystem of film development and film production. ArtCab simplifies the complex process of collaboration and crew-building in the process of filmmaking by enabling filmmakers to have access to the widest range of talent pool around them. Through fluent ideation and effortless networking, ArtCab tries to enhance both the quantity and quality of film production amongst those who care less about film reception and more about film-making. The platform hosts filmmakers from all specializations and is the most convenient networking tool ever built for independent filmmakers. With ArtCab, independent filmmaking shall never be the same again.

The Task

The ArtCab App design involves creating a platform for managing all stages of film production, from concept development to post-production. Key features include project management tools, task assignments, budgeting, scheduling, team collaboration, and asset management. The app should have an intuitive UI, real-time updates, secure file sharing, and integration with production tools, ensuring streamlined workflows for filmmakers and teams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with filmmakers and production teams to define app features and workflows.
  • UI/UX Design: Create an intuitive interface for managing film projects, tasks, and schedules.
  • Project Management Tools: Design features for budgeting, task assignments, and team collaboration.
  • File Management: Implement secure file-sharing and asset management systems.
  • Integration: Plan integration with production tools for real-time updates.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes and conduct usability testing for optimal user experience.

The Challenge

The challenge in designing a ArtCab App is managing complex production workflows, ensuring real-time collaboration across teams, protecting sensitive data, and integrating with existing production tools, all while maintaining a user-friendly interface.

The Solution

The solution focused on a user-centered design approach, focusing on the following key strategies:

  • Task & Project Management: Create visual tools (budget, stages, projects) for tracking deadlines and progress.
